Bali Pub Crawls
Bali is not one nightlife scene but five or six depending on which part of the island you're in. Seminyak and Kuta are the beach club and club circuit (separate entries for both). Canggu is the surf-nomad bar strip. Ubud has almost nothing after 10pm by choice. Understanding which area you're based in is the first decision; the island is large enough that getting it wrong means a long taxi ride at midnight. For the full beach club experience, the Seminyak-Legian-Kuta triangle is the answer. For a bar crawl without a dress code and with cold beer, Canggu. The crossover between these scenes is minimal by design.

What You'll Pay
Beer (Bintang) at a local warung: IDR 25,000–40,000. The same Bintang at a beach club: IDR 60,000–90,000. Cocktails at a mid-market Seminyak bar: IDR 100,000–160,000. At a rooftop beach club, IDR 150,000–220,000. Club entry at the larger Kuta venues is IDR 75,000–200,000, usually with one drink included. A full beach club evening in Seminyak with four drinks and a sun lounger fee runs IDR 500,000–900,000.
Best Nights
The peak is July–August and December–January, which align with international school holidays. Outside these windows, the same venues run at 50–70% capacity and are considerably more enjoyable. Weekdays mid-season are the sweet spot. The Kuta club circuit (Sky Garden, Apache) runs every night and the variation between days is minimal; they are open because people are always there, not because it's Thursday.
Practical
Bali has no public transport. Grab operates across the island from the south up through Ubud. A Grab from Canggu to Seminyak is IDR 60,000–100,000 depending on traffic; Seminyak to Kuta is IDR 20,000–40,000. Friday evening traffic on the Seminyak-Kuta road is reliably bad; budget extra time. Motorbike rental (IDR 60,000–100,000 per day) is the local solution for independent movement. Cash and cards both work across most venues.
